Sometimes cheating isn’t carefully planned. A close friendship, workplace relationship, party, trip, or online interaction can gradually cross boundaries.
What begins as harmless flirting can become something much more serious when boundaries aren’t maintained.
The uncomfortable truth
A happy relationship is not a guarantee that someone will remain faithful.
Cheating can involve opportunity, personality, impulsiveness, insecurity, entitlement, poor boundaries, or a desire for novelty. And importantly, being cheated on does not automatically mean that the betrayed partner wasn’t attractive, loving, or good enough.
Ultimately, healthy relationships require more than love. They also require honesty, boundaries, communication, respect, and personal responsibility.
Sometimes the most important question isn’t “What was missing in the relationship?” but rather:
“Why did this person choose to betray someone they claimed to love?”
