In order to access the beach, visitors must reserve a spot online ahead of time, costing €10 ($11.5 USD) per person.
Those who arrive by boat are permitted to stay for one hour only on the dunes, and disembarking with rucksacks or cool bags will not be allowed.

Commenters on the council of Villasimius’ Facebook page were less than thrilled about the new rules, slamming the umbrella rule as unsafe and deeming the beach cost unfair.
“I advise the mayor and the entire council that voted for this outrage to visit a dermatologist to learn about the risks of skin cancer to which they are exposing us to profit from those who want to enjoy the sea at Punta Molentis,” one commenter wrote.
“Shame on you! €10 per person for Punta Molentis, and anyone without children can’t bring an umbrella!!! And people even voted for you for this outrage!!!!!!!” another commenter wrote.
“This is just a sneaky way to hand it over to the rich. And how are people between the ages of 10 and 65 with certain health issues treated? Do we need a black market to rent out children and the elderly?” a third commenter added.
