Pain does not always occur exactly where the underlying problem is.
For example, hip arthritis may sometimes be felt in the groin, thigh, or knee. Changes in the spine or other joints can also influence how a person moves, which may create discomfort elsewhere.
That means pain that seems to “move” should not automatically be assumed to be arthritis, but it may justify a broader musculoskeletal evaluation—especially when it occurs with stiffness or restricted movement.

Fatigue can also be caused by:

* Anemia
* Thyroid problems
* Infection
* Depression
* Medication side effects
So fatigue alone is not evidence of arthritis. It becomes more informative when it appears alongside persistent joint symptoms.
