What is the country?

Let us examine the very first line of the puzzle together.

On the left side of the first line, we can clearly see the capital letter J.

Right next to the letter J, there is a picture of a flat cooking pan.

When you put the letter J together with the word PAN, what do you get?

You combine them to get J + PAN, which sounds exactly like the country Japan!

That was pretty neat, clever, and simple, wasn’t it?

Now, let us move down to the second line of our picture puzzle.

The second line starts off with a bright picture of a golden bell.

The English word for that ringing object is simply BELL.

Right next to the golden bell, we see a building with the word GYM written clearly on the front.

If we combine these two words together, we get BELL + GYM.

When you pronounce those two words quickly, Bell-Gym sounds just like the European country Belgium!

By now, you can easily see the hidden pattern behind this entire riddle.

We simply take the letters or picture words and join their sounds together to form country names.

Now, are you fully ready for the final challenge?

Let us take a careful look at the third line, which contains our big red question mark.

On the left side of this final line, we have the single capital letter I.

Next to the letter I, there is an illustration of a man running very fast in his athletic clothes.

What is the English word for the action this man is doing?

He is going for a run, which gives us the word RUN.

In English grammar, the past tense of the verb run is written as RAN.

Now, let us try putting the letter I together with the word RAN.

When we join these two parts side by side, we get I + RAN.

Go ahead and read those two parts together out loud right now!

What country name does I + RAN form when you say it?

That is absolutely right, it spells out the country Iran!

Therefore, the correct answer to our riddle today is Iran!

Isn’t it amazing how a single letter and a simple picture can create a real country name?
