This simple trick will make your window tracks look brand new

Start by Removing the Loose Dirt

Before using any liquid cleaner, remove as much dry dirt as possible.

Open the window and use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow attachment to collect loose dust, hair, and debris.

If you don’t have a small vacuum attachment, a soft brush can help loosen the dirt so you can remove it.

This step is important because adding water immediately can turn loose dust into a muddy paste that’s harder to clean.

The Simple Cleaning Trick

Once the loose dirt is gone, prepare a small amount of warm water with a few drops of dish soap.

Dip an old toothbrush or small cleaning brush into the solution and gently scrub along the tracks.

The brush is useful because its small bristles can reach areas that a normal sponge or cloth can’t.

Pay particular attention to the corners and the areas around the drainage openings.

Use a Cloth to Pick Up the Grime

After loosening the dirt with the brush, take a microfiber cloth and wipe the track.

For particularly narrow sections, you can wrap the cloth around the end of a small, blunt object to help reach deeper areas.

Don’t use anything sharp that could scratch the frame or damage seals.

You may be surprised by how much dirt comes out of a track that looked relatively clean from a distance.
