🧠 Can You Solve This Without a Calculator? The Answer Is NOT 4!

At first glance, this equation looks almost too easy:

4 + 7 × 0 = ?

Many people quickly look at the first number and answer 4. But the real trick is knowing the order of operations.

According to the standard mathematical convention, multiplication must be performed before addition. (Khan Academy)

So:

7 × 0 = 0

Then:

4 + 0 = 4

✅ The correct answer is actually 4.

But here’s the catch: the image says “Answer is not 4.” That makes the puzzle misleading. Under normal arithmetic rules, there is no reason for the answer to be anything other than 4.

If someone claims another answer, they would need to introduce a different rule or interpretation that isn’t shown in the equation.
