🟦 SLIDE 4 | Why Does It Develop?
The exact cause is not always known.
However, ganglion cysts may be associated with:
🔹 Repetitive wrist use
🔹 Repetitive hand movements
🔹 Previous injuries or sprains
🔹 Changes in the tissues surrounding a joint or tendon
⚠️ Having these factors does not necessarily mean that a ganglion cyst will develop.

🟦 SLIDE 5 | The Mistake You Should Avoid 🚫
❌ Don’t hit the cyst.
❌ Don’t squeeze it forcefully.
❌ Don’t try to puncture it with a needle.
❌ Don’t try to drain it at home.
Doing so may cause:
⚠️ Infection
⚠️ Bleeding
⚠️ Nerve or blood vessel injury
⚠️ Damage to surrounding tissues
And the consequences may be worse than the cyst itself.
🟦 SLIDE 6 | Does It Need Surgery?
Not always!
Treatment depends on the symptoms and how much the cyst affects your hand or wrist.
👀 No symptoms:
Observation and monitoring may be all that is needed.
🩹 Mild symptoms:
Reducing wrist strain or using a brace for a limited period, if recommended by a healthcare professional, may help.
💉 Persistent symptoms:
Aspiration (draining the fluid) may be considered in certain cases.
🔪 Selected cases:
Surgical removal may be an option when symptoms persist or the cyst keeps coming back.
