Look closely at the person’s smile.
One side of the face may suddenly:
* Droop
* Feel numb
* Move differently
* Appear uneven when smiling
Facial weakness is one of the most recognizable signs of stroke.
Ask the person to smile. If the smile looks uneven or one side does not move normally, emergency medical care is needed.
