Cheesy Texas Toast with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Texas toast or other thick sliced bread

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 6 slices provolone cheese

  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. Prepare the garlic butter mixture. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and oregano. Stir until everything is well mixed.

  3. Arrange the bread. Place the slices of Texas toast in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.

  4. Spread the butter mixture. Use a spoon or brush to spread the garlic butter evenly over each slice of bread.

  5. Add the cheese. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over each slice, then place a slice of provolone cheese on top.

  6. Bake the toast. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and slightly golden.

  7. Finish and serve. Remove the toast from the oven and sprinkle with dried parsley if desired.
