Did you know that a washing machine can also dry clothes? A feature that many people still don’t know about.

Imagine: You have an important meeting in an hour, but your favorite pants are still soaked. Outside? It’s raining like crazy. And you? You don’t have a dryer and you don’t want to see laundry hanging all over the house. Panic? Absolutely not! Few people know that a washing machine, even if it doesn’t have a built-in drying function, can be a lifesaver in an emergency…

When Dampness Occurs: How to Prevent Laundry from Staying Damp for Days

Drying laundry in winter becomes a real nightmare. Sunless days, endless rain, and a chill that bites at the skin make drying a simple pile of T-shirts an impossible task. Furthermore, hanging laundry indoors when the air is already saturated with moisture can quickly turn into a nightmare: unpleasant odors, musty clothes, and even   mold on the walls  . And using a radiator? Bad idea. Not only   does it increase your bill  , but it doesn’t purify the air in the room at all.

Fortunately, there is an extremely simple method to speed up drying that does not require investing in a large device.

The Magic Trick of Drying Towels in a Tumbler

Here’s a technique as effective as it is little known: After washing, put your clothes back in the washing machine with… a large, clean, and dry bath towel. Then run a fast spin cycle, preferably on the highest setting. The result? The towel acts like   a giant sponge   , absorbing excess moisture from your clothes. In just a few minutes, they’ll be almost dry!

To make this trick work perfectly, use a very absorbent towel (  avoid microfibers that are too thin  ) and don’t overload the drum. Leave enough space for everything to rotate freely. It’s as simple as pie and   really handy   in an emergency!
